RPW Razorback Pressure Washing

Deck & Fence Cleaning in Fayetteville, AR

Wood decks and fences are the single most common surface people damage by trying to pressure wash themselves. High pressure lifts the grain, causes furring, and leaves visible wand marks that never go away. The humidity and tree cover in Northwest Arkansas make green algae, black mildew, and gray weathering film show up fast — but the fix is gentler than most people think.

Razorback Pressure Washing uses a wood-safe soft wash approach for decks, fences, pergolas, and wood privacy screens. We apply a cleaning solution calibrated to pull algae, mildew, and weathering film off the wood at low pressure, then rinse carefully with the grain. You end up with clean, bright wood that hasn’t been beaten up in the process — and if you’re planning to re-stain, it’s the correct prep.

We clean cedar, pressure-treated pine, redwood, Ipe, and composite decking (Trex, TimberTech, Azek). Composite gets an even gentler method — aggressive pressure can permanently mark the surface. Whatever you have, we’ll match the approach to the material.

Frequently asked questions

Will high pressure damage my wood deck? +
Yes — it causes furring, raises the grain, and shortens the life of the wood. We use soft washing with a wood-safe cleaner for decks and fences. You get a clean surface without the surface damage.
Can you clean composite decking? +
Yes. Composite (Trex, TimberTech, etc.) gets a specifically low-impact treatment because aggressive pressure can permanently mark the surface. We follow manufacturer-safe methods.
Do I need to stain my deck after cleaning? +
Cleaning is a prerequisite for staining, not a substitute for it. If your deck’s existing stain is faded, we clean it up and you can re-stain afterward (usually 48–72 hours after we leave, depending on weather). If the stain is still good, cleaning extends its life.
Can you clean cedar privacy fences? +
Yes, and we see a lot of them in NWA — Fayetteville, Rogers, and Bentonville neighborhoods love cedar. We soft wash them to kill the gray weathering film and the green algae. It’s the right prep before a sealer coat.
What about pressure-treated lumber? +
Pressure-treated wood (green or brown) gets the same wood-safe soft wash approach. It’s actually one of the most satisfying before-and-afters we do.
